5 Natural Acne Treatments That Work Well and Don’t Cost An Arm And A Leg

Acne is a serious condition and I have five all-natural acne treatments for you to try. Over the years I have tried just about every acne cream, lotion, soap, and medication out there and while some of them worked for a while, nothing really cleared up my acne until I started trying out a few natural treatment options.

1) Hydration and Nutrition Are Key
I cannot stress enough how important it is to stay well hydrated. This one change alone will improve your skin and your overall health. Keep track of what you are eating and drinking and see if you can find a correlation between those foods and your acne outbreaks. Do your best to stay away from those.

2) The Power Of The Sun
Going outside and getting some sun on your face is another simple but effective strategy. Do your best to get out in the sun at least once a day for a few minutes. It will ensure your body can produce plenty of Vitamin D and will help keep your skin healthy.

3) Green Tea – The Ancient Elixir
Green tea has been shown to improve acne. The thinking is that the antioxidants and phytonutrients found in this ancient beverage contribute to the improvement. Just pour yourself a few cups of tea each day. Do not sweeten your tea as sugar and honey will render some of these helpful compounds ineffective.

4) Aloe Vera And Tea Tree Oil
Mix a little of the oil and aloe gel in your hand and massage it on your face as part of your cleaning routine. Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties and the gel made from the aloe plant will reduce swelling and redness.

5) Vinegar And Baking Soda
These two pantry items may just be your strongest allies in the fight against acne. While you are suffering from an acne breakout, use vinegar like a toner a few times a day. Your acne will start clearing up quickly. After your acne breakout is healed, apply a baking soda mask to your face, neck and shoulders. To make it just mix the soda with a bit of water. Keep the paste or mask on your face for a good 15 minutes. Remove it with lots of clean water. You can make this mask a few times per week. Your acne will likely be greatly reduced because the baking soda does a good job of restoring the ph balance.
